Jewish sources are ambiguous about divine female entities, who stand tall and proud with their feet on the ground and their heads in the heavens, rising from primordial waters, worshipped in temples, dancing with their maidens and priestesses in the fields, in the heavens.
We will embark on a journey in search of the Shekhinah and the great Canaanite Goddesses – Asherah, Astarte, and Anat, and we will ask questions –
When did the Goddess become an idol? What does this mean for all women, wherever they may be? Why is the Shekhinah wandering in exile? And can we call her back home?
